As any steam aficianado can tell you, the scene depicted is an S-2 Northern that has been called out to rescue a broken down E-7 diesel.

Houston Area Model Railroad:

Houston Layout Open Houses Every Fall the San Jacinto Model railroad group of Houston sponsors an area layout tour spread over eight weekends. Again this year my layout will be open once. In all about 60 layouts are open to the public over the eight weeks. Everything from N gage to 1 1/2 live steam are represented. There are about 80-90 layouts which have at one time been open but many owners opt to skip a year now and then.
