This site contains historic information on the Great Northern Railway, my O Scale GN model railroad and my friends' layouts.

- The Great Northern Flyer -

In the thirties, any hobo or boomer worth his salt had a moniker. Thus, this trashy little website has a name too.

GNLINES 'station' on the 'track diagram' menu bar above, for historic information on the Great Northern Railway. At the ARTICLES I've posted summaries of each of the I've written for the Great Northern Railway Historical Society. At the ARTWORK stop, you'll find examples of GN menus, timetables, chinaware, calenders, shippers' fruit lables, and other items a few going back to the 1890's period. The MODELS stop has examples of modeling in O gage. At the LAYOUT station, you'll find a description of the model railway, a trackplan, recent pictures, and a look back at the previous layout. More will be added as the ol' pike gets built. The FRIENDS stop features my pal's O and other scale layouts. The new OSW stop has pictures from the 2006 - 2009 O Scale West Meet, layout pictures and the 2010 GRAND TOUR.

There are several buttoms below the former layout Vignette. The GNUS icon below will take you to the latest news on the site. BOOMER provides information about me. BONE YARD lists excess items I have from time to time for sale. Finally, the LINKS stop lists a few favorite sites. Currently I'm in the process of updating and rebuilding this site. I'm also attempting to learn Deamweaver CS4 with minimal success. Some links may not work or take you to the wrong place. These I apologize and wish to advise you that they are being fixed asfast as I find them.
